Minor Participation

Age Policy

Ravenskeep Adventures is by default an 18+ event. Our storylines may contain dark themes, intense scenes, and adult subjects. Participation of minors is therefore not a right, but a privilege granted under strict conditions.

Minors aged 12 and older may participate, provided they are accompanied by an adult guardian who also attends as a participant. Children under 12 cannot participate in our events.

The board and game leadership reserve the right to refuse participation of a minor if circumstances require it.

Guardian Requirements

The adult guardian must meet the following requirements:

  • At least 21 years old
  • LARP experience — The guardian must have experience with live-action roleplaying.
  • Participates as a player — The guardian must be registered and present at the event as a participant themselves.
  • Maximum 2 minors — A guardian may supervise a maximum of 2 minors.
  • OC and IC supervision — The guardian is responsible for both the out-of-character (OC) well-being and the in-character (IC) guidance of the minor.

The guardian must be available to the minor at all times and bears full responsibility for their behavior and well-being.

How to Sign Up a Minor

Signing up a minor works as follows:

  1. Start registration — In the first step, choose to register someone else and select the minor.
  2. Mark as minor — Check the box indicating the participant is a minor. Additional fields will appear.
  3. Fill in details — Enter the minor's name and date of birth, and select who the guardian will be.
  4. Confirm declarations — You must confirm that you have read the code of conduct for minors and agree to the conditions.
  5. Complete registration — Choose a game role and optional event roles, then proceed to payment.

You can register a maximum of 2 minors per event under your supervision.

Code of Conduct & Documents

Additional rules apply for the safety of minors:

  • Code of Conduct for Minors — A special code of conduct applies to everyone who interacts with minors during the event. This document can be downloaded in the documents section for members.
  • Parental Declaration — Parents or legal guardians must sign a declaration. This document is also available for members.
  • Children's Coordinator — At events with minor participants, a children's coordinator is present as a point of contact.
  • 18+ storylines — Game masters may redirect minors away from storylines unsuitable for their age (violence, death, sexual themes).
  • Departure — If a minor needs to leave the event for any reason, parents/legal guardians are notified immediately. The guardian must also leave. Pickup is expected on the same day before 22:00 or the next morning at 10:00.

Certain groups and gods within our game world are not suitable for minors due to adult themes. This is discussed during registration.
